Distinguished and Famous people from Cobram
Joan Jordan
Joan Jordan's service to Cobram was recognised posthumously with the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2025. She served on the Cobram Agricultural Society committee from 1968 to 2024 and spent decades judging or stewarding its art section. A foundation member of the district spinners and weavers group, she also volunteered for twenty-five years with the Cobram Information Service. Her contribution links the town's show, textile crafts and practical assistance to visitors and residents through a remarkably long period of community involvement.
